Holding Firm to God's Promises

Holding onto God’s promises with faith and determination

If you truly know me, you’ll understand my perspective today.

When I think of my mother—who carried and nurtured 16 children—I see a woman who endured much yet held firmly to God’s promises. Now, she rests in His glory. My father, still here on Earth, has been lifted into God's presence, experiencing His beauty and promises both in Heaven and on Earth.

To be guided by the Lord, we must keep His commandments. The witness God has placed before us to observe our coming and going is both Heaven and Earth. As it is written:

"I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day..." (Deuteronomy 4:26)

God’s mercy never runs dry, even when people turn to serve false gods—the works of men’s hands, made of wood and stone, which neither see, hear, eat, nor smell.

"For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God." (Deuteronomy 4:24)

The name "LORD" in large caps is significant—it calls us to seek Him with all our heart and soul, for only then will we truly find Him.

The Teachings of Moses

Let’s return to Moses, whom the LORD commanded to teach us His statutes and judgments so that we might follow them on Earth. Even in great tribulation, even in the struggles we endure in these latter days, there is hope. If you turn to the LORD your God, repent, and be born again, you shall obey His voice and find redemption.

Even though Moses was not able to experience the Promised Land, he kept his eyes on his instructions. This is a powerful reminder for us today—sometimes, people will leave you, and they won’t celebrate your accomplishments. But always remember: God is a friend who is closer than a brother! Thank You, Jesus!

"For the LORD thy God is a merciful God; He will not leave you nor forsake you, nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant He made with your fathers, which He swore unto them." (Deuteronomy 4:31)

God’s Mission Remains Until the End

Moses' assignment was pure, filled with wisdom from the LORD. Even though he did not enter the Promised Land, his mission remained in God’s plan he was able to view it from a mountain top.
Then—even until the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord never forgets His promises, and He is forever with us until the end. Then—throughout history, even leading to the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ—the Lord has remained faithful to His promises. He never forgets them and is with us always, even until the end.

The Bible also tells us of another moment where God's divine guidance was revealed. After the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant, they were forced to return it. The spirit of the Lord led two milch cows to drive the Ark back to Beth-Shemesh—guided by the hand of God Himself.

This is a reminder that no matter what the enemy tries to take from you, God will restore it in His perfect time. What belongs to God will always find its way back to where it belongs!

So today, I encourage you—stay faithful. Even if you don’t see the Promised Land right away, keep your eyes on the mission. God is with you, guiding you, just as He guided Moses, and just as He restored His Ark. His mercy never fails, and His promises remain forever.

Amen!
